Jesse started his career building forts, creating art, and excelling in math/science as a child before graduating from The University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Jesse currently manages and is actively involved in the practice of both his businesses, McGrath Architects and Jesse McGrath Real Estate with @properties.
Prior to becoming an architect and real estate broker, Jesse worked for notable architecture firms in Chicago and the Midwest before eventually opening his own practice. Enthusiastic about green building, Jesse strives to create a high-performance environment having designed over 50 projects through the Chicago Green Permit program. Having managed all aspects of McGrath Architects as both President and lead designer, Jesse gained business acumen and analytical skills, which shape his approach to real estate to this day and helped him become a Top Producer with @properties.
An expert on building permits, inspections, and property management, Jesse has created a one-stop shop for his clients’ various real estate needs. Well aware of Chicago zoning and building codes, he can walk through a property and easily evaluate the quality of the work, estimate the cost of repairs or improvements, and suggest remodeling/addition possibilities as well as site selection for new construction. In his free time Jesse focused on softball, traveling, changing Chicago neighborhoods, and his dog-child Hank.
