This single family residence was permitted through the Chicago Green Permit program with a 3-star rating (highest achievable).  The new insulation, windows, fixtures, and appliances are helping this family to save lots of money on utility bills while the abundance of light and rearranged "flex" spaces have made the most of what were dark cramped rooms with little storage.  We were able to restore the old oak floors hidden underneath the current flooring and provide movable glass walls to provide spaces that serve multiple purposes.  The new sleek kitchen is not only stunning to look at but very space efficient as well.
